| The Evergreen Park Sewer Project serves to rehabilitate this isolated communities gravity sewer which was installed in the 1950’s. This project will install two manholes and bring this collection system up to METCOM standards. The system deterioration has lead to significant infiltration and inflow which inundates the wastewater pumping station that serves this community. | |||||||||
| PLANNING JUSTIFICATION: | |||||||||
| Excessive inflow and infiltration as a result of system deterioration make this cost effective. Re-lining, pipe-bursting and open trench replacement were options that were considered for this project. Currently Re-lining is the most cost effective option. | |||||||||
