Senior Construction Inspector
 

Description:  St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission (MetCom) has an immediate opening for a Senior Construction Inspector

 

Responsibilities:  Assist in coordinating Inspectors assignments including all matters relative to Miss Utility; Review drawings of Developer and private projects; assist in the preparation and arranging of preconstruction conferences; attend preconstruction conferences; Receive, review and respond to material submittals; Develop and maintain documentary files for every project; Track projects for close out.

 

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; Technical Training or education, 5 -7 years of experience in utility construction, 2-4 years as construction foreman or supervisor assigning work; Sediment and Erosion Control certification preferred; SHA Traffic Management Certification; Ability to acquire Water Distribution Class I and Wastewater Class II Licenses; Ability to effectively communicate with staff, contractors, engineers, and members of the public, Knowledge of standard specifications and the applicable regulations, laws and guidelines governing construction inspection; Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
