Chief Engineer
Description: The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission (MetCom)
which provides water and sewer services to more than 15,000 residential and
business customers throughout St. Mary’s County, MD, is seeking a Chief
Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Development
of construction plans, construction contracts, construction supervision,
development review and technical support of MetCom facilities. Advise the
Metropolitan Commissioners and the County Commissioners on matters pertaining to
the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of public water and
wastewater facilities
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus seven or more years of
related experience in the planning, design, and construction of water and
sewerage systems required or Master’s degree plus five or more years of related
experience. Candidate must be a Professional Engineer registered in the State of
Maryland. Additional sanitary engineering experience, with emphasis on
electrical systems, controls, computerized engineering and Microsoft Office
business software preferred.
Salary Range:
$87,410 - $111,885 commensurate with experience and qualifications. Excellent
fringe benefit package.
