The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission (MetCom) which provides water and sewer services to more than 15,000 residential and commercial customers throughout St. Mary’s County, MD is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
 

Primary Responsibilities: The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator will be responsible for operating wastewater treatment plants by monitoring, evaluating, adjusting and maintaining the equipment and system used in the Wastewater Treatment Plants; collecting transporting and analyzing wastewater samples for compliance with a variety of water quality standards; maintaining a variety of operational and maintenance logs, reports and other forms.
 

Minimum Qualifications:  High school diploma or GED; must successfully pass a written math exam; Wastewater Treatment Class 5A Certification preferred but not required.
