Chief of Constructions & Inspections
 

Description: The St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission has an immediate opening for a Chief of Construction & Inspections. 

 

Responsibilities: Oversees inspection and in-house construction programs and provides construction technical support and guidance on new construction design plans for constructability; assigns inspectors to developer and MetCom capital projects; reviews and approves daily inspection reports, identifies work assignments for Construction Foreman; provides technical expertise to construction trades in the water and sewer field.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and seven (7) years plus three (3) years in supervisory position; or
• Fifteen (15) years or more of job related experience plus 3 years in supervisory position;
• Sediment and Erosion Control certification;
• SHA Traffic Management certification;
• Hold or ability to acquire Water Distribution I and Wastewater Class II Licenses within six (6) months;
