The St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission is currently in the process of upgrading the sludge processing section of the Marlay-Taylor Water Reclamation Facility located at the end of Pine Hill Run Road.

As part of the upgrade, it is necessary to perform work that may create some offensive odors in the atmosphere. The upgrade is scheduled for completion in October of 2005, however, measures have been taken to minimize the odors and to complete the odor control portion of this upgrade as soon as possible. We strive to keep our customers and neighbors happy, as we are closely monitoring any odors at, and closely surrounding, the facility.
