Energy Surcharge Information
As of July 1st, 2006 the
Metropolitan Commission began adding an Energy Surcharge to
customer's bills. This surcharge has been enacted as a result of
large, unexpected increases in electricity, fuel and other energy
costs of over 40% in FY 06 and expected increases of 16% in FY 07.
As outlined for the
Public Hearing of June 6th, 2006 and approved at the regular Commission Meeting
held on June 8th, 2006, the surcharge rates that took effect
July 1st, 2006 and are as follows:
